When in the heart of Sin City, where we quite often can find ourselves tirelessly strolling the streets and taking in many of the scenic conundrums that make the neon jungle that is Vegas...well Vegas—it can be relatively easy to work up quite an appetite.
Perhaps the fact that local laws actually allow for us partiers to carry around open containers on the strip, which can greatly contribute to those late night, I-have-had-too-much-too-drink food cravings, where on many occasions we find ourselves at a 24-hour diner ordering food we never would eat were we sober. So for all of you Vegas loving, poker chip flicking lovers of all things night—here are the top four buffets you can hit up while in Las Vegas that will keep that tummy of yours comfortably filled.
Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino
3700 W. Flamingo Rd. (Valley View Blvd.)
Las Vegas, NV 89103
Phone: (702) 252-7777
Information:
When you think of a buffet you never think of one as grand as is presented at the Rio. Long, marble coated buffet stands adorn the room, seemingly trailing on as far as the eye can see, and they are quite large in reality. Separated into different areas—mostly based upon ethnicity—you can sample and devour large portions of exotic foods aplenty at this posh buffet. From sushi to fish tacos, to crab legs and jumbo shrimp, it’s all here and well presented for your gourmet takings. While you are eating, courteous servers will come around every so often to make sure that your glasses are full with whatever you feel like drinking, from coffees and teas to alcoholic beverage (not included in the buffet price.) Finally what buffet is not complete without an amazing desert selection? Feast your eyes on a hundreds of different deserts and swear that you will work if off in the gym when you get back home.
Green Valley Ranch Casino
2300 Paseo Verde Pkwy. (Green Valley Pkwy.)
Henderson, NV 89052
Phone: (702) 617-7777
Information:
Colorful glass ceilings decorate this fabulous buffet getaway, featuring exquisite art decorating the walls and some of the best damn service you will ever get. They have a rather vast buffet menu—which is changed out depending on the time of day between breakfast, lunch and dinner times. Catch the AM shift and you can enjoy freshly made French toast, eggs benedict and other breakfast favorites. During lunch they bust out with the Farmers Market where you can indulge in all sorts of freshly baked breads, grilled chicken and plenty of fresh fruits and low-cal salads. At dinner time there are gourmet chefs situated around cooking stations, offering made-in-front-of-you pasta, pizza, beef (including steaks and prime rib), fish (including shrimp, lobster and crab and specialty fishes), and chicken dishes. Not to mention plenty of cultural fare, such as Mexican food and Italian food; buffets do not get any more lavish than this.
