swim suit bikiniSwimsuit season is a time that many people dread not because of the water or the summer barbecues but because that means it’s time to find a new bathing suit.

Most people have insecurities about their body and a swimsuit is very revealing so it doesn't always hide those less than desirable features. But there are tips and tricks which will hide those things you don’t like and highlight your assets so you’ll look as hot as any model in one of those fashion magazines. Here are some tips on how to find a better swimsuit for your body.

Long and lean
Have long legs that most women would kill for and a long torso match? While you probably look fabulous in all your other clothes, a swimsuit may be a bit of a challenge for you because most will flatten your figure and just make you look even slimmer (which isn’t a problem for you). Try a one piece with cut-outs.

They are all the rage right now and all the cut-outs will shorten your torso and create the illusion of more curves. Or have fun with details, find a bikini with bows, rings, beads and so forth.

Short and curvy
So you’re shorter but have some curves like most women do. You’re one sexy lady but maybe you’re a little insecure about how some of those curves look in a bathing suit. No problem. Create long leg lines by choosing a bikini bottom with high sides.

Brazilian bottoms and string tie bikinis are a great choice. To hold all your top half in though and provide the support you need opt for a halter top with fairly wide straps, no string tops with flimsy fabric, you need actual cups to hold your ladies in while also showing off your great cleavage but in a flattering, not trashy way.

If you have some tummy you would like to hide try a one piece suit with built in cups and high sides. This will tuck, push up, support and lengthen in all the right places.

Small on top
If you have a smaller top half embrace it, you can wear a lot of things. You are the only one who can pull of the bandeau tops so many love as well as the Brazilian bikini tops actually made for smaller women.

But if you want to enhance your natural bust try a top with some padding or an underwire that will push up your assets. Choose tops with very little fabric, those with more fabric will expose your true chest and ruin the illusion of more.

Heavier on the bottom
Keep it simple on the bottom and have lots of details on the top to bring the attention upward. Try a cute bikini bottom with an attached short ruffle skirt. The ruffling will help cover areas you’re less favorable of and is completely fun and fashionable at the same time. Pair a solid bottom with a printed top and you’ve got a winner.
