online mbaA Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) has become a financial boon to those who obtain this coveted prize. By many estimates earning an MBA can result in an income that is essentially doubled on an annual basis.

Individuals who wish to take time off work to pursue a MBA will find it takes nine years to recoup the expenses related to that decision. While some will view the ‘sabbatical’ as an investment in their future there will be just as many if not more that feel it is a decision that will remain out of their reach. They feel this way because they are often in a place where it may seem financially impossible for them to leave the workplace while trying to support a family or lifestyle.

What may provide additional conflict is when those who are looking in from the outside learn that by holding an MBA they could receive as much as $2 million in additional income over the course of their career. What to do?

Additional Reasons to Earn an MBA

According to EducationAtlas.com there are very specific reasons to pursue a business degree.
  • Need a degree that will help facilitate a career change.
  • Increased career advancement opportunities in a specific career field.
  • Increase earning potential.
  • Gain the education required to start your own business.
  • Need more focused business expertise to excel in your field.
  • You want to compete in a more global market environment.
  • Network with business professionals that can help you advance your career.
Managing the MBA Conflict

As the title of this article suggests the conflict of obtaining an MBA degree can be managed through an online environment. What if you could manage your aspirations with time you may currently have available? Without leaving your present job? Would this solve the conflict?

Removing Stumbling Blocks

Did you know…
  • Some business owners will pay some or all of the expense of an MBA for employees committed to remaining in their employ after earning their degree.
  • Most online MBA programs can be completed within 2-3 years using your available time without demanding a certain class attendance time and location.
  • Most companies provide a promotion once an MBA degree is obtained.
  • Even if you are a business traveler you can still earn your MBA online while you are gone from home.
  • Many employees who hold an MBA will be moved to management positions following graduation.
Online Education and the Non-Traditional Student

Many non-traditional students can feel out of place in a traditional campus setting. Most of these individuals will have jobs and family. An online learning environment can allow moms to tuck the kids in for the night and then work on her degree. It can allow dads to get up early and manage a few course assignments before they go to work.

Individuals do not have to leave their family behind to pursue an MBA. Yes, the time spent pursuing this degree can be stressful, but certainly less so than if you had to reschedule your life around a traditional classroom environment.

A Gentle Nudge

You might decide to wait for the right moment to get your MBA, but don’t be surprised if, in the waiting, you discover the dream is simply a self-designated mirage. You may have good intentions, but it can be easy to continue to shove those intentions just beyond your immediate reach.

An online MBA is one of the most flexible tools in career advancement. More than experience, this degree can provide the additional income your family might need and it doesn’t need to remove you from your present employment.

If you were offered the opportunity to double your annual salary would you take it? This is the opportunity made possible in an online MBA.
